The day has a great start to it

NASCAR season started last night. Technically, its the preseason, but there still were cars going around in circles at high rates of speed, which is good enough for me. The driver I root for, Dale Earnhardt Jr., is racing for a new team, new sponsor, new colors, everything. He dominated the event, leading more laps than anyone else, including the all important last lap. All in all, a very nice race. A few cut tires brought out the yellows, but nothing like dumbass drivers doing things they shouldnt have. Nice way to start the season.

Today we are going to Canton, to see a good friend of our, Jenilee, who is in a play called Cry Havoc. It's been a while since we have seen her so thats always nice. As an added bonus, we get to see her Mom, Patti. For the icing on the cake, today is Patti's Birthday.

Yesterday, the kids and I went to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see the Orchid Forest exhibit, and to also give Andrea some time to work on her homework. What a nice exhibit. I took tons of pictures, and will add some here and to my Flickr site real soon.

All in all, a great weekend.
